It seems backwards to suggest that we could be comfortable in a state of mind that we totally lament. Even crummy states of mind can become comfortable because we get used to them. Be aware of your familiar comforts and decide if they are aligned with the best version of yourself and how you want to live your life. If they are not, then let go. The discomfort of change is far less painful than continuing to sit on a tack because that's all you've ever known.
